Amey build a better credit future with CICMQ
AMEY is one of the largest and most diverse companies working in the public and regulated sectors in the UK and has recently achieved CICMQ re-accreditation. The company’s head office is in Oxford where the credit management department of 17 is based. Amey has approximately 200 sites across the UK employing 19,000 people, and had a turnover of £2.2 billion in 2017 against a previous reported figure of £1.8 billion, a record year for the business.
Becky Woods, Head of Credit and Collections says she wanted the team to be recognised for their excellent work: “The accreditation brings a greater awareness of the credit management function within the company. It also allows us to share best practice, knowledge and experience with other successful CICMQ Accredited organisations.
“We will certainly be making an extra effort to keep the accreditation momentum going. This will be done through monthly meetings, training and networking.” In his report, Chris Sanders, Head of Accreditation – CICMQ said: ‘Since the departure of the previous manager there have been a number of changes in the senior management structure, but stability and consistency in the team has been a key factor as Becky, Hayley, Olutunu and Laurence have remained in place.
This has been very beneficial in maintaining an understanding of the CICMQ standards as well as developing and embedding existing and new methods and procedures. ‘This renewal demonstrated a very clear development and improvement of the function since the original accreditation in November 2015’.
