Editor takes new role in commercial development

Rob Beddington is relinquishing his role as Editor and Advertising Manager of Credit Management, the Institute of Credit Management’s (ICM) monthly magazine, to focus on developing the ICM’s relationships with the credit industry and the wider business community.
Rob has been managing the magazine for nine years and in that time he has brought about many changes, including the introduction of a range of supplements and, most recently, an interactive online version.
His new role as Director of Commercial Relationships has been created to cater for the increasing appetite for the comprehensive range of services the ICM now offers. The move will allow Rob to focus on developing business in a number of ways – building relationships with credit businesses that are keen to work with the ICM, with businesses that see the ICM as vital to the development of their people and practice, and with a growing clientele of organisations that recognise the Institute as the key route to market.
Rob will still contribute to the editorial direction of the publication as part of a newly-created editorial panel. This panel will be led by the ICM’s Chief Executive Philip King with input from Sean Feast, Director of the ICM’s communications agency AGA. Sean will also assume the role of managing editor of Credit Management, liaising closely with production and assistant editor Jo Brown. Jo is also responsible for designing all of the Institute’s literature.
