How to take on an Apprentice

Training for existing staff

Apprenticeships are not just for new recruits, existing employees (no age limit) can be funded through this route.  There would be no change to the terms and conditions of employment for existing employees although they would need time to study.

  1. Speak to your HR department to find out if funding is available.
  2. Choose the apprenticeship that is at a suitable level for your requirements.  CICM have apprenticeships at Level 2Level 3 and Level 6
  3. Select the employee you wish to put through the apprenticeship or advertise your apprenticeship externally – your training organisation will do this for you through the Government’s service.
