Tough Talk!

With so much happening; Brexit, general elections and even the prospect of Indeyref2, one wonders where we will all be in the coming months. So we have assembled an expert panel to debate the current issues that face us all (not a political debate), as individuals, families and in business.

Our TV screens are plastered with it, newspapers covered in it and venture near the water cooler or coffee machine, there is no escaping it …. the chat about Brexit, the European Union, the economy, independence ….

The delegates will each give their own views (rightly or wrongly) on these hotly debated subjects before opening the discussion to the floor where we expect the dialogue to be interesting, if not a little controversial at times. The panel will address issues such as insolvency, credit management as well as insurance and the law. How changes may affect business and even our own pockets.

Delegates are asked to arrive for 17:50 for a 18:00 sharp start. The event will conclude around at 20:00.

Panelists

	Stuart Dougal, Deal Advisory Director, KPMG Stuart advises stressed and distressed companies to explore their options with a view to saving the business. Also, networking and introducing people to each other is key to his role at KPMG Restructuring. We’ll say little about his refereeing.

	Steve Thomson, Credit Manager, Menzies Distribution Steve has considerable experience of managing customers worldwide. Considerable experience in professional credit management in both consumer and commercial markets. Steve is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.

	Paul Brown, Partner – Employment, Anderson Strathern Paul is a specialist in employment, immigration and equality issues. He is accredited as Specialist in Employment Law and often negotiates and consults with unions on behalf of clients. He appears regularly in Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

	Bernard Dunn CA, Managing Director, T L Dallas & Co Advising a wide network of corporate, family owned and VC-backed clients for over 30 years. He also leads T L Dallas’s insurance due diligence service in the UK. Bernard is a former Glasgow Branch Chair of ICAS and Chair of Ethiopia Medical Project.
