Glyes Brandreth to host icm11 Awards

9 February 2011

Writer, broadcaster and former MP, Gyles Brandreth, has been chosen to host the icm11 Awards, the most prestigious accolades in the credit profession.

Gyles was a former Government Whip during John Major’s leadership, and regularly appears on popular TV shows such as BBC’s The One Show, Have I Got News For You and Countdown. He is currently touring around the UK with the stage show The One to One Show.

Philip King, Chief Executive of the ICM, believes that Gyles’ humour and intellect will be a natural fit for the evening’s audience: “The host is always the key to a successful event and we have someone who is going to keep the audience enthused. With Gyles at the helm icm11 is looking to be one of the most successful awards ceremonies we have had.”

The awards, organised and hosted by the Institute of Credit Management, are designed to reward and acknowledge excellent practice in an increasingly complex and demanding profession. The awards will be held at The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London SE10, on 24 March 2011.
