ICM’s Journal shortlisted in magazine awards

Credit Management, the monthly journal of the Institute of Credit Management (ICM), has been shortlisted for two prestigious magazine publishing awards for the quality of its writing.

Entering the 2011 Trade Association Business Publications International Awards – the so-called ‘Tabbies’ – for the first time, Credit Management has been nominated in the best Feature Article category for ‘Asia – demanding its seat at the top table’, a report on the Asia House Business Leaders Summit last year by the Managing Editor, Sean Feast and news reporter Michael Standen, and the Regular Column category for its View From the Sea Front series by David Andrews.

The ‘Tabbies’ this year attracted more than 400 entries from around the world and are open to all English-language B2B trade publications that are published at least quarterly, as well as B2B online-only magazines. Publications are not required to maintain membership in any particular publishing organisation in order to enter.

Philip King, Chief Executive of the ICM, says it is a fantastic effort from the magazine’s editorial and design team: “To be shortlisted in two categories speaks volumes for the quality of our magazine,” he says, “and will no doubt prompt those unfamiliar with the detail of Credit Management to look again.”

Paul Heney, TABPI President, says that this eighth iteration of the awards has people excited: “I think a lot of publications are geared up to make some noise – to recognise their staff efforts, to market themselves, to talk about their accomplishments,” he says.
