Third time CICMQ re-accreditation for NHS Blood and Transplant

NHS Blood and Transplant is accountable for providing the NHS with a safe, reliable and efficient supply of blood components, solid organs, stem cells, tissues and related diagnostic services.

The NHS organisation has recently achieved CICMQ re-accreditation for the third time. Maxine Spivey FCICM, Financial Services Manager and Local Counter Fraud Specialist, NHSBT Financial Services, NHS Blood and Transplant says re accreditation has been welcomed by everyone: “Director of Finance, Rob Bradburn has been a major support in terms of owning the credit policy so it now carries substantial weight within the organisation as a recognised policy to be adhered to by everyone.”

Chris Sanders, Head of Accreditation – CICMQ said in his report: ‘Maxine and the team continue to improve and develop the function; the DD programme is a great example with 67 of the 120 trusts converting to DD, the ‘Senior Sisters Project’ helped to put the Finance team on the map and build trust and awareness’.
