Annual General Meeting Of Sheffield and District branch Followed by Darts

Find out what the Sheffield and District branch got up to during their AGM and darts night.

On arrival at Clubhouse in Meadowhall, members and guests were greeted by committee members with a coffee and the opportunity to network and share experiences with like-minded professionals prior to taking their seats for the formal part of the evening – the Sheffield & District Branch Annual General Meeting.

Vice Chair, Paula Uttley opened the meeting by giving apologies from Jamie Thornton, Branch Chair, who had been due to attend and present. Paula opened the AGM and dealt with the formalities of apologies, approval of the 2023 AGM Minutes, approval of the 2023 Branch Financial Report, nominations and elections of Committee members for 2024, and then a review of the 2023 branch events. The final item of the AGM was any other business when after providing details of the background, Paula took great pleasure in presenting the second CICM Sheffield & District Branch Student Prize to Sophie Ward. Many congratulations to Sophie for coming top in her CICM Level 3 Diploma Mandatory Unit in 2023, receiving a certificate of achievement and cheque for her prize award of £150.

Following the completion of all formal business, members, and guests enjoyed a delicious supper of tasty treats with time for further networking prior to stepping up to the Oche for some light-hearted fun at the interactive dart boards. With a good variety of games on offer, it was “Game On” for both the experienced and first-time players at each board. Not all of the darts thrown landed in the board but no injuries were sustained, other than to the wall. Did anyone get a Bullseye, a Double Top, or even One Hundred and Eighty, well that would be telling! Congratulations to Richard House of BTG Advisory and Tom Davage of Sharp Consultancy – the victors at each board. A good evening was had by all, as evidenced by the positive feedback received.

Many thanks to Clubhouse and to all attending members and guests for making the evening a great success.
