What is a CICM Branch AGM?

The CICM Branch Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for branch members to review the year's branch events, to allow transparency of branch funds, elect new Branch Committee members and to allow discussion on future plans and direction of the branch and its activity.

It’s an exciting time for the branches to go into 2025 and review the activities that enhanced the development of the growing credit management and debt collections community around them.

Why is a Branch AGM important?

A Branch AGM is an opportunity to interact with the local Credit Community. It allows our members to engage with CICM, and work with us collaboratively to enhance the credit industry.

Branches are at the core of CICM activity with their networking reach and consistent creation of learning and development opportunities that come straight from approved CICM members. They’re important because, without them, we wouldn’t be the Professional Body that we are today.

By having a dedicated team of passionate professionals who form our Branch Committees, we continue to have ambassadors who care about credit in their regions. We boast a community that shares and indulges in expert knowledge and insight with an interconnectivity that no other credit management and debt collections community can.

How do you attend a branch AGM?

All branches are required to hold their AGMs between 1 January and 31 March every year. Members of the Institute receive email communications about their upcoming AGM but, if you aren’t signed up to our communications, you may find them in the Branch section of the events page.

Here, you'll find some useful notes and information about the AGM process, and also the Branch Committee Nomination form, should you need it as well as the Branch AGM Notice and Proxy form.
