Who won the British Credit Awards 2024?
The British Credit Awards celebrate the achievements of the professionals, teams and organisations that stand out in the Credit Management and Debt Collections Industry. The night took place on the 1st of February 2024 and this blog hosts the "Hall of Fame" of those that stand out from the crowd.
B2B Team of the year
Kicking off the night with the first award of the evening going to SEFE Energy for B2B Team of The Year, kindly sponsored by Barclays.
Supplier of the year
The award for supplier of the year has been received by Esker UK & Northern Europe! With the judges adding that they have demonstrated 'really good outcomes from a process automation, time saving and also solutions to positively impact the team members'.
B2C Team of the year
Winner of this award, is the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for evidencing strong development in self-serving, customer centric initiatives, with KPIs and savings in support.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Award
This team has wowed the judges with their Outstanding performance in DE&I, exhibiting a clear ethos, goals, and vision backed up by data and evidence, so without further ado, congratulations to Saint-Gobain for winning the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Project Award award!
Best use of technology Award
The fifth category of the night, the Best Use of Technology Award goes to Aggregate Industries UK for their initiative to add support to the risk assessment process, a powerful and impactful solution for this sector.
Best employee initiative Award
With the judges hailing it as 'An innovative and highly structured approach', sponsored by MyDSOManager, the Best Employee Initiative Award goes to Biffa.
Risk management Award
Our Risk Management Award, sponsored by Atradius, is firstly presented to the highly commended Company Watch and the winner is…SEFE Energy, with their second award tonight! A Fantastic achievement by both teams, well done!
Shared services team provider Award
Sponsored by Global Credit Recoveries, the Steris team has won the Shared Services Team Provider Award. Judges commended them for 'A solid entry, noting good collaboration across the business'.
Debt Collection Agency Award
The Debt Collection Agency Award goes to Flint Bishop, with the highly commended award going to STA international! A fantastic achievement by the teams, well done!
Law firm of the year Award
The tenth category of the night is Law Firm of the Year Award, sponsored by Court Enforcement Services goes to DWF!

Technology Development Award

International Credit Award
Skyscanner has won the International Credit Award, proudly sponsored by American Express for a clear demonstration of overcoming challenges and hurdles within a very challenging industry.
Team Player of the year Award
The Team Player of the Year Award, kindly sponsored by Portfolio Credit Control has gone to Abi Williams from Weightmans for her unselfish attitude toward taking on extra responsibilities.
Credit Professional of the Year Award
Sponsored by BlackLine, the winner of the Credit Professional of the Year Award goes to Katherine Bailey FCICM from Valor Hospitality Europe Limited with Yvette Gray MCICM of Atradius UK receiving the highly commended award.
Supporting Women in Credit Award

Excellence in Credit Management Award
Last but certainly not least, our final award of the night. This is the CICM Excellence in Credit Management award and we are delighted to announce that Aggregate UK and Biffa Waste have won after showing continual commitment to the Credit industry and to CICM.
