Level 3 Advanced Credit Control / Debt Collection Specialist
Overview
This is the new Trailblazer Apprenticeship Standard for advanced credit controllers and debt collection specialists, developed by senior credit managers and collections specialists, with the support of the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM), the Apprenticeship Standard is based on current job descriptions and covers essential knowledge, skills and behaviours.
This programme aims to develop the knowledge and skills required to be a qualified Advanced Credit Controller.
Framework
To achieve the Level 3 Advanced Credit Controller/Debt Collection Specialist apprenticeship, you must undertake the following:
Gain ONE of the following qualifications
All new apprentices who chose CICM qualifications as part of their learning journey will start on the new CICM Level 3 Diploma in Credit and Collections, and any existing apprentices, who are part way through CICM studies, can either continue on their qualification listed below:
- CICM Diploma in Credit Management
- CICM Diploma in Debt Management
- Diploma for the Debt Collection Industry
or switch to the new CICM Diploma in Credit and Collections above if their choice of units allows.
All apprentices who continue on the CICM Diploma in Credit Management or CICM Diploma in Debt Collection must pass this by 31 December 2022, after which point the qualifications are to be withdrawn by CICM.
